The BTEC National in Information Technology is designed to give you a range of specialist knowledge and transferable skills, providing you with the opportunity to enter an apprenticeship, move directly into employment, or progress to a related Higher Education course.

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language.
You will have a 9.55am start, one lesson in the morning, one in the afternoon and a guaranteed 4pm finish. You will also have at least one morning and one afternoon per week free for private study.
Assessments will comprise 60% personal investigation and 40% externally set practical exam. Your coursework is internally assessed and externally moderated.
You can progress to the workplace either directly or via study at higher level. Success in this course will demonstrate to universities or potential employers your ability to communicate effectively and a range of vocational skills, such as knowledge of Information Technology systems, managing information systems and developing website and a range of interpersonal skills.
