Working in the Portsmouth History Centre, you will be exploring the city's rich and varied photographic archive. You will get to work with the Historical Centre Manager on filling in photography gaps from their archive and working towards building a new one. Students will get the chance to explore the vast centre, dive into photographs of portsmouth spanning decades and work on a join assignment, collectively making a body of work that will be placed in the archive, forever.

This course is suitable for students with basic knoweledge on camera settings to highly competent.

All cameras are welcome, including smart phones.

Students must have their own camera to attend this course.

Part-time attendance required over 5-weeks.

Your progress will be assessed by your course tutor through a variety of soft skills, including participation in classroom discussions, activities and group work, completion of homework and regular attendance.

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement. It is essential that you inform us if your entitlement changes at any time during your course.
