A Level Mathematics is a challenging and rewarding course which will enable you to work to a high standard and support you in developing higher-level problem-solving skills. You will find that your algebraic skills develop rapidly as you tackle interesting and varied problems. We will support you in structuring your revision to help achieve your full potential.
You will be offered additional opportunities throughout the course. You could be invited to go to university problem-solving days, take part in the Senior Maths Challenge and participate in mentoring schemes with other college or university students. There will also be careers and apprenticeship talks to provide ideas for future pathways.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English Language and a grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths.
You will have a 9.55am start, one lesson in the morning, one in the afternoon and a guaranteed 4pm finish. You will also have at least one morning and one afternoon per week free for private study.
You will take three exams, which you will sit at the end of your second year.
